Our training process

We break our training process into 3 sessions. For each session you’ll be expected to watch videos then go over what you learned in a 1-on-1 zoom meeting. Here’s exactly what to expect:

  • Session 1 • Energy On The Mic: Watch 12 Minutes of video -> attend 30 min Zoom meeting
  • Session 2 • The Technical Stuff: Watch 48 Minutes of Video -> Attend 45 min Zoom meeting
  • Session 3 • Equipment Setup and Final Run-through: Setup equipment with videos (10 Min) -> Attend 1 hr Zoom meeting
  • If you require more sessions, then we’ll do more sessions!

Training Completion Bonus

To support new hosts during onboarding, Good Thomas Entertainment provides a $100 Training Completion Bonus.

This bonus is paid after you:

• Complete all training videos

• Attend the three live virtual sessions

• Successfully host your first scheduled event

This ensures you are fully prepared and confident before beginning your weekly shows.

Before you begin

  1. Download & print THE CHECKLIST and THE SCRIPTS below. These are important documents that you’ll use at home, in your virtual sessions, and live at your events. THE CHECKLIST is a chronological list of everything you’ll need to know and understand to host these events successfully and to our standards. THE SCRIPTS (which are also included on the checklist) are simple bullet points that need to be mentioned during announcements.

Introduction – Our first announcement of the night, giving guests a detailed explanation of who we are and what to expect.
Start Round 1 – We’ve passed out the cards, and everyone is ready to start the first round. We’ll be super clear with our directions here, and start the round with high energy.
Winners – Big excitement! This is our chance to really make a show!
Start Round 2-4 – Everyone already knows how to play at this point, so we can simplify our directions a bit.
Last Announcement – We want to let people know we had a great time and we’d love them to come back again.

Software COURSE

We utilize a software called DJay Pro to run our Musical Bingo events. This simple software enables us to play songs back to back, fading them into each other. It also allows us to fade between music and our voice with no dead air. We have a saying here at Good Thomas Entertainment; “SILENCE IS THE ENEMY.” Djay Pro helps us avoid the silence!
